Osun Governor Appoints Nephew as Chairman, Announced Members of the Board

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has announced the appointment of his nephew, Mr. Tunji Adeleke (Jnr), the son of the deceased governor, and the chairman of the defunct Rauf Aregbesola’s faction of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Rasaq Salinsile as the board chairmen of the state.

The nephew of the incumbent governor, Adeleke (jnr) was appointed as the Chairman, of the Local Government Service Commission, Osun state while Salinsile was appointed as the Chairman Teachers Service Commission.

In a statement released by the spokesman to the Governor, Olawale Rasheed has also listed several numbers of the appointees, which include; ex-National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Prof. Wale Oladipo, as the chairman, of Osun State University Governing Council, while ex-PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Mr Diran Odeyemi, was named the chairman, Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke.

Further appointments of the chairmen include; Mr Gbenga Onigbogi, University of Ilesa, Mr Diran Ayanbeku, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Mr Peter Babalola, Osun State College of Education, Ila, Senator Kola Ogunwale, Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, all as statutory chairmen.

The spokesperson to the Governor also noted that Governor Adeleke has approved the appointment of Chairmen and vice-chairmen non-statutory board.

The appointments follow one day after the inauguration ceremony of 25 commissioners and three permanent secretaries.
