Position Overview:
Are you a talented and ambitious student journalist with a passion for multimedia storytelling? News Brief Nigeria is offering an exciting internship opportunity for budding multimedia journalists to join our dynamic team. As a Multimedia Journalist Intern, you will work alongside seasoned professionals, contribute to compelling multimedia content, and gain invaluable experience in the world of modern journalism.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce multimedia content, including videos, audio clips, infographics, and interactive features, to enhance our news coverage.
- Collaborate with journalists and editors to develop multimedia elements that complement news stories and engage our audience effectively.
- Conduct interviews, shoot and edit videos, and create visually appealing graphics to enhance storytelling.
- Stay updated on the latest multimedia trends and technologies to continuously improve our storytelling capabilities.
- Contribute to the overall multimedia strategy and help maintain the visual and audio identity of News Brief Nigeria.
Qualifications:e
- Current enrollment in a journalism, communication, multimedia, or related degree program.
- Strong multimedia skills, including video production, audio editing, and graphic design.
- Proficiency in multimedia software and tools, such as CapCut, KineMaster, Canva etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for storytelling and a commitment to unbiased, ethical journalism.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their multimedia capabilities is a plus.
