Gombe – The ex-commissioner for Information and Culture in Gombe State Julius Ishaya Lepes, dumped PDP for New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP)

Lepes was ex-commissioner in APC before to the Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

The ex-commissioner defected yesterday after wide consultation from his followers and lovers across the state.

This was coming after he met the governorship candidate of NNPP Hon. Kamisu Ahmed Mailantarki in the state.

Mr. Ishaya also served in the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development as commissioner in the state.

He noted that both APC and PDP have failed the people, hence the need for fresh breath.

“I have consulted widely with my followers, admirers, friends and families, who felt we should pitch our tent with PDP to join this party and to work rescue our state from the neglect and bad governance of the APC.”

He however, said Mailantarki’s chances as the governorship candidate of the party in the state would receive another boost, following the grassroots mobilisation drive.

He Accuses Both PDP and APC Leadership

He alleged that both APC and PDP leadership sidelined him from all affairs of their parties despite being a critical stakeholder and ex-commissioner in the state.

He noted that despite him been grassroot mobilizer and ex-commissioner, he should have been respected from both parties.

In an interview with some residents of Gombe who preferred their names to be withheld said they were not surprised because he’s always on the move across party lines.

“I wasn’t surprised because I have been expecting him to leave since when he was a commissioner”.

Another said “Ishaya is a political harlot, he’s always looking for where to get money”.

“He will soon leave NNPP soon especially if he didn’t get what he went there for, another citizen said.
