As the year 2022 draws to an end, the tech giant and notable search engine; Google has announced the results of what Nigerians are most interested in and what they often search for on the web; Trending Searches.

The result was released on Wednesday, 7 December 2022 and consists of different categories and terms such as people, actors, musicians, topics, questions, etc.

The result revealed that “the result for this years’ ‘Year in Search’ shows a huge interest in politics, entertainment, sports, lifestyle, and notable personalities”.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) ’s strike and the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) got the highest score on the search engine as many Nigerians showed concern over the two incidences, TheCable reported.
