{"id":1326,"date":"2023-08-07T14:20:34","date_gmt":"2023-08-07T14:20:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsbrief.ng\/?p=1326"},"modified":"2023-08-07T14:20:34","modified_gmt":"2023-08-07T14:20:34","slug":"nnpp-suspends-its-national-secretary-over-anti-party-acts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsbrief.ng\/nnpp-suspends-its-national-secretary-over-anti-party-acts\/","title":{"rendered":"NNPP Suspends its National Secretary Over Anti-party Acts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Secretary of the New Nigeria People&#8217;s Party Oladipupo Olayokun, has been suspended by the party board over anti-party matters.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Olayokun was accused of anti-party activities, negligence of party duties and by extension blamed for the party crisis in Ogun NNPP.<\/p>\n<p>The suspended secretary, who is also part of the National Working Committee of the party was sanctioned by the executive members of his local constituency in Ward 5, Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun.<\/p>\n<p>However, the suspension of Olayokun was contained in a letter addressed to him on 6th August, titled &#8220;Notice of Suspension.&#8221; The letter was officially signed by 25 members of the executive, and 25 other members from the ward.<\/p>\n<p>The two iconic members of the party, Dr Boniface Aniebonam who was the party founder and the party&#8217;s Presidential candidate Engr <a href=\"https:\/\/newsbrief.ng\/nnpp-suspends-its-national-secretary-over-anti-party-acts\/\">Rabi&#8217;u Musa Kwankwaso<\/a> were both sent a copy of the letter.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the letter read &#8220;The suspension of Your Membership is due to total neglect of NNPP at the Ward Level realising you never participated in any party activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the same Vein, your refusal to vote neither for the Presidential Candidate nor the Governorship Candidate of NNPP at the last General Election was an act of gross indiscipline that must not go unpunished.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur investigation at the ward level showed clearly that you committed various offences in contravention to Article 39.2 subsections 1, 2,4,5,6,7 and 11 of NNPP\u2019s 2022 Constitution as amended.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsequently we advise you to Stop parading yourself as a member and National Secretary of this Party,\u201d the letter read.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Secretary of the New Nigeria People&#8217;s Party Oladipupo Olayokun, has been suspended by the party board over anti-party matters.
